About this place
One diner who ordered the chilled grated-daikon udon was a little surprised by how fine the noodles were, but enjoyed the refreshingly cold bowl. It makes a good choice at Kuizo on a hot day or when you want something light.
For a more substantial meal, there are oversized options. The Dekakare can be ordered with udon or soba and comes with about 2.5 portions of noodles; beef or chicken is also available as a choice. A diner who tried the oversized curry soba praised both its flavour and its generous serving. If you’re looking for a meal built around plenty of food, it’s one to consider.
Lunch options include set meals with a mini noodle serving and a tamago-don (egg rice bowl) or oyakodon (chicken-and-egg rice bowl), as well as a set pairing salmon rice with a regular-sized noodle serving. Choose between making a rice bowl the centrepiece or enjoying rice and noodles together. The udon set with fried aubergine and pork comes with a small serving of rice and can also be ordered with soba.
For dessert, there’s a silky pudding made with vanilla beans from Madagascar, egg yolks and cream. Diners stopping by for dinner have also commented on the easy-to-eat, thin-skinned gyoza and the thick-cut daikon in the oden, which they found richly flavoured. Pair them with a curry rice bowl for a meal with plenty of choice.
